That has to be the cutest kitten I've seen, all serene and puffy-pawed.
And such a cute poem, Roy. I bet it was fun to write.
Just one teensy question:
they're more like a Lord, a queen, or a king, [Are you sure Lord as used in the secular sense should be capitalized. Nit picky, I know, and your poem stands as a testimony to cute just as it is ... but just thought I'd point it out.

Now that little kitty has the 'life of Riley'. Cute picture and compliments the great poem. It has a bit of a
'Dr Seuss' feel to it.
Well done Roy,
:-) Carolyn

Hi Roy,
What a cute picture of the little kitten. Your poem is really nice too. I have two cats of my own. Romeo has been like a doctor toward me since I've been sick the last few days. He's been sleeping on top of me to comfort me. My other cat is used to being alone as she had to stay in the porch. Good thing they had heat out there for her.

Don't you just love that! My wife had nightmares about suffocating, and would wake up with cats all over her! Great review, thanks my friend, blessings, Roy.

The rhyming of the poem is like a slinky carrying the reader to the next line. The rhythm carries the reader from word to word.
The focus cats. The storyline cats are cats, king or queens, and we would choose the life of a cat.
The line break pauses fall in natural spots.
The emotion felt joy.
Keep on writing.
Roy, have a great Thanksgiving for you and yours. It was seven degrees yesterday and today it is 37. We had 5inches of snow and north of me they have 71" and are afraid deer season is over. :)Rita

This sounds so good when read aloud. A winner for children, especially the very young. I enjoyed it. So, I must be very young. LOL. Love the rhyming. Great job! Les

I like the poem. I love cast and heartily agree that they are a form of royalty, especially those beautiful Persians, Coons, and other long-haired, high maintenance, special breeds. Best seen in their glory at the Cat show and in the photos taken. I enjoyed the read.

Thank you so much for the great review and stars, we've only got one at the moment, but we have owned many over the years, as well as dogs, all a great blessing, all God's creatures are special, blessings, Roy.

They live a short life and are predators and very adept at it. This was a well written verse on cats. I have owned many of them in my lifetime. I have a cat named Moon right now. She is very young and she thinks she owns me and has me all figured out... John

You're right John, cars have staff, great review and a great name for a cat, Moon. Yes cats kill a lot of indigenous animals here in Australia and are a real problem! Blessings, Roy.

I have a housecat--sometimes he can be kind and loving, other times he can get rather annoying;
Well-penned stanzas, good aabb rhyme, on these furry pets, aloof creatures;
Nothing to do but sleep all day--only a cat is easily able to wile away the days with eyes constantly closed.
