This is a terrific example of what a cat's life is like. It is only amazed at what you'll do to please it. I heard the other day that the difference between dogs and cats is that dogs have owners and cats have staff.

This is totally true!! I'm not a cat person but my daughter is and her cat rules the roost. I made a poster for "his room" that says "King Oliver lives here." When she is here this weekend, I am going to let her read this!
I greatly enjoyed reading this. Good job, as always.

Indeed they are royal -- or at least believe they are. Your words and delicate picture capture the princess purrsonality succinctly!

    Oh my! So glad you questioned. Nothing wrong with the poem! The blasted computer must have been slow or something. Will fix it right away.

Lol this is wonderful Roy! I like the bouncy rhythm and the quirkiness of the poem. Being a cat sounds quite appealing but I prefer dogs.

You have hit the nail right on the head, Roy, my cat is all those things! Very regal, very demanding, and doesn't care how she uses us so long as she gets her own way. AND we obey!! Definitely coming back as a cat! LOL, brilliant, Roy, loved it. xsx Sandra

But, the life of a dog -- now that's where it's at
when you could be them, who would care to be that?
No litter box to go in, just the great big outdoors
my dog is always quiet -- but my cat, oh how he snores!

Great little verse, Roy. Very cute. :}

Well, you're talking about the lucky ones - the ones with homes. Unfortunately, shelters destroy probably hundreds of thousands of them each year. On a brighter note, I might even choose to be the cat in your photo! Fun, whimsical poem!
