Your perfectly portrayed the life of a cat in your fun little poem. They sure do think they are supreme and should be waited on hand and foot:)

Hi...only one quibble...did you say second to god...i think not...i think god himself woudl agree...cats believe they are above god, far above us mere mortals and certainly we are here only to provide for them...and oftne we fail....padumachitta

OMGoodness! That picture makes me want to run out and get a kitten. The only problem with that it enlists you into servitude the rest of its life! LOL You are absolutely correct they own you from the start. Good job Roy. xx Nancy

You're right about the servitude Nancy, but they are cute as kittens, but I like as adults too, great review, thank you, blessings, Roy.

Me too. We have one that wants to be a dog. He mimics everything they do. He is so funny.

I fully agree with your description of the life of a cat. I would describe it in one word, attitude. It's all about their needs and desires. We are the servants, they're the master.

Hi Roy,

As a cat person, I can understand how they often are mistook for royalty, lol. However, they are dependent on their humans, they just are very prideful. A delightful poem.

Hugs,
Lou

Hi Roy

What a delight .. so sorry you missed the contest. This is so cute ... and so true, as all of us owned by a cat knows. Mine's a Queen and rules with an iron paw. I only said the other day - in my next life, I'm coming back as a cat. A cheery poem with good rhyme, a fun theme and something to put a smile on your reader's face. We done. A very cute picture to complement your poem. Warm Hugs - Lovi xoxox

Dear Roy,
The buggers do seem to have it easy for their nine lives don't they. This one made me smile, I think you crafted a work that was light and fun to read. Well penned and brought those little critters front and center for me. My daughters cats are the same way...
Thanks for sharing.
Maureen
