Your questions, addressed presumably to God, are indeed ones that will never be answered - but they are thought-provoking and thus a suitable subject for poetry!
The question mark at the end of line 7 is a little puzzling, as is the decision to place a break there, seemingly mid-sentence.

Thank you Steve: I often fail to pay attention to details of proper grammatical correctives- thanks for pointing it out. I will revisit and edit it. I think you understood my feelings when I wrote that poem.

You raise some interesting questions in this fine poem. So sorry for the loss of your friend. I, too, have lost friends way to early. It's never an easy question to answer the whys and wherefores.

Thanks Jax: It hurts even though we know it is a process we cannot control and must accept as inevitable. I have overcome the grief but memories live.
