To adewpearl,
This would have been a great example of how dragons and monsters collide on Hallowe'en night. The tenacity and brute force are mighty indeed.
A few areas of alliteration: eg.silver swords

And then from the depths of the ocean
Came a startling appealing commotion
For though most fiery dragons were tough
There emerged a sweet one name Puff.

Puff came to the knight in his sleep
Counting dragons instead of white sheep
And though his survival was chancy,
He tickled the young knight's fancy.

The sleeping night woke up with a start
And found Puff ensconced in his heart
Most love at first sight isn't true
But Puff and the knight's only grew.

More like a nursery rhyme, this flows like a child's fantasy. The photo is stunning and complements your story very well. I enjoyed this light poem very much.

But of course it is a position fitting for a knight who has been fighting dragons. The poem reminds us of the imagination of that of little knights. Thanks for sharing.

I like the contrast in the heroic dreams of the little dragon slayer with the charming photo while he sleeps. And I love the picture - that's the position my children often slept in. Before I had children, I pictured babies as sleeping angelically on their backs with covers tucked neatly their chins, but the rump in the air was reality. Love, Jeanie

Jeanie, thank you so much :-) Yeah, kids come into the world and disabuse us of all those silly fantasies. ;-) Brooke

Sleeping butt up, too funny.
All that hard work made the knight awful tired - good thing he managed to accomplish so much before nap time.

Oh my, only the Cute Little One can manage to sleep like that :) Oh, and my one dog :) By the way, I love dragons. I plan a series of books based on dragons :) This is well written as always.

What a laughable sleep position. Another delightful read-aloud. Love the visuals of circles of waves and flame, the knight with silver swords forcing them to flee. I'd be exhausted too. :-)

Brooke, this is another great story for the children's book. You have a wonderful imagination. I love the little 'butt' picture. It reminds me of my Jayme. He fell asleep on the bottom step on the way to his bed with his pacifier in his mouth, when he was about two years old. You just gotta love those grandkids!! Very cute. Carole

This is the photo our hero will hold against you when he grows up! LOL I enjoyed your charming story, alliteration and rhymes--it's what dreams are made of no doubt! Hugs- Joan
