a story poem in 7/6/8/6 meter 'When Dragons Sailed the Skyways.' The Knight sure found a safe haven in a nice, warm bed. What a lovely metered poem you have created here about champion Dragon slayer, Master Sawyer, Brooke. Well done.

Brooke, what a sweet wonderful poem. Every child loves to read of dragons, and knights and saving the day. And, yes, a well earned sleepy time in the end. Thanks for sharing with us as always, your beautiful poetry. Jerri

That's quite an eventful day and after reading all about that world I'm glad I live in this world...or do I? I love the picture. Great job

What a laugh this gave me at the end of it. I was wondering if your grandson was going to be mentioned. You didn't, but he was strongly intimated even though the photo was some other child. Wonderful story-line (Puff the Magic Dragon) sort of.

Thanks so much for the sixth star, Jack, and for letting me know how much you enjoyed this one. The child in the photo is, indeed, my grandson Sawyer :_) Brooke

He'll love this one. You'll have to read (or recite it) to him over and over. Better get to memorizing it.

Great adventure in this one. I can remember my oldest saving me from the sharks that surrounded my bed. LOL. Great tale of the worn out adventurer. Nice rhythm and the excitement didn't end. Gretchen

This is truly adorable, especially the last stanza. Beautiful rhythm, meter and rhyme with a lovely classic fairytale feel to it. The precious photo adds that final touch to the piece well.

Oh my, oh my! I just love Sawyer's photo with his butt up, comfortably tucked and covered by the blanket. The picture gives us a feeling of quiet time, when everything is at rest and sounds so peaceful despite the apparent disarray around. I can no longer comment on the poem, because it is excellent my friend. God bless.

A grand tale of imagination of the heroic knight and his quest to save the land. I like that you didn't give the game away until the very end!
Great rhythm and rhyme as usual.

My gosh this is good...any child would love the rhythm and the imagery. As an adult, I loved the rhythm, mtoo, but also the rhyme and the poetic devices like alliteration. Your poetry not only has voice, but also "sound". Wish I had a six, but you don't need anymore...it is a winner.
