Every drastic situation needs a hero. This is inspiring poetry which stirs a young heart and makes it yearn to rise above adversity. Lovely rhymes and unfailing rhythm. Always a pleasure, Brooke.

Hi Brooke. I love this story in a poem. Really a joy to read.
Sawyer had a restless sleep so far I can see. I think he was fighting with dragons and monsters in his dreams...
A great write. Fia

So nice to see our hero tucked safely into bed. He must have been exhausted chasing and defeating dragons and holding back the rising tides.
Lovely tale of daring-do.
Rose.

This is wonderful, Brooke, It sent my 'imagination meter' sky high. I love the story and the ending was a delight. Smooth and lyrical verse as always. Freat job!

I'm sorry. You can't call your hero 'Sir Butt.' This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for an entertaining read.

What a darling poem this is, Brooke, and the picture works perfectly with this. Lucky little Sawyer will someday be able to read all these wonderful poems that his Grandma has written with him in the center of them all! This was a joy to read!

O you are too clever...
Dig it... Dug it.. did it done...
Who scales the dragon
A battle to be won
No more knights in silver armor
No one could remove that sword
Scaling to dishonor
For honor, no golden rewards.
LOVE, the old stories.....
Nice throw back.
