First I want to congratulate you and your miracle grandson,
Wonderful Story- poem that gave me great joy, I can relate , have a son , now a professor of Philosophy , graduated in Princeton, with learning disabilities and health problems. But great determination. Your grandson
is a beautiful brilliant boy. Will make you all proud. Pili

Thank Pili, for this very touching story, thank you for sharing, my elder grandson attends the the same school, you must be so proud of your son, Jo's mum was very slow at school at first, but determination saw her attain a music degree and later on an arts degree, His dad was a brilliant 2degree scholar, with a great Job, thanks for sharing, I love being a proud parent/grand, you should be so proud also, Great review, great sharing, blessings, Roy.

Wonderful entry, Roy, and a wonderful story indeed! Miracles do happen, often through prayer. Just look at Maureen... now MO-reen. Jo sounds like a terrific kid, despite his shaky start. That's all in the past now, thankfully. :)

Clearly you are a proud grandparent. This comes shining through in every word of this piece. You've met all the requirements for the quatrain format. Good luck in this contest!

What a beautiful child. Quite the story behind his birth.
I don't blame you for bragging about his mind. These are the children we hope will enlighten their own generation. According to metaphysical beliefs, the soul chooses its name and parents in each reincarnation. That said, he must have a divine purpose ahead.

An absolutely perfect biblical passage (Psalm 139:13-16) to cite for any new-born, but especially so in this case of so difficult a delivery. Abortion doctors will probably have it read to them at the Judgement. I know why he was named, Josiah. Queen Athaliah (sp) didn't get this one either.
"though yet explored, this future lies," better read, "though unexplored, his future lies," and "on heaven's scroll," rather than "in heaven's scroll..." "Sealed in Christ...? He'll probably have to make that decision for himself later in life, or maybe you're saying he's done so already. Praise God!

I love the picture of your miracle grandson and I am amazed that there is a Bible verse that exactly fits the tone and message of your poem. Now I realized I have many things I still have not discovered in the Bible. It is a shame because I am a Christian and have not made my homework with God. I enjoyed your poem, and you should be proud really of your gifted grandson and God for He made it possible.God bless.
