What a beautiful poem, with a beautiful message. Yes almighty God can do all things. When mortal man cannot do it, God takes over.

Seems like grandpas get inspired by their grandkids. Looks like you did. Think someday he'll show this to his grandkids
and brag a little?

I certainly hope so, this is to leave a piece of myself, and an encouragement, his mum hangs on to all of them, thanks for the great review, blessings, Roy.

Hope before too long he comes to know our Saviour mate. I believe it was meant to be so. I love Psalm 139 I think you would have read my comments about that psalm and my encouragement from my Mum as she read that Psalm to me when I came out of the anaesthetic after ear exploration, sadly unsuccessful. Thanks again and what a lovely boy.

Your poem is a lovely tribute to your special grandson, Roy. I love the beginning stanza:

"Eternal sparks have lit your eyes
though yet explored, this future lies,
for only God can light this flame
no thought conceived can thwart God's claim."

Your rhyming is perfect, and your words have a wonderful flow and rhythm. Your nice alliteration adds to the flow.

Thank you for sharing, Roy! Good luck in the contest. Alana

This work has reached the exceptional level

I'm surprised he is such a handsome young man, coming from your genes. LOL I know you have heard the phrase, "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree." so he probably got his intelligence from his grandpa.

Great poem, BTY
God Bless,
Your Kansas connection & good friend,
Jerry

Lovely affirmation of your faith and 'grandfatherly' pride. The construct of this proud poem is strong demonstrating a solid 8 syllable cadence throughout. Natural aabb rhyme that is never forced. thank you for sharing - DJ
