Olga: I am lucky to have found that photo. You have done lot more important work by presenting that real face of poverty to world; I only gathered words and phrases to give it a voice. I can't say I like your poem but you did it very well.
It seems unlikely the poor soul shown in the picture will
obtain such a splendid funeral. She is a study in misery.

Gypsy Moth: The picture itself is a statement of human failure to take care of our own species. No answer to that. My poem is based on a similar but bit light hearted Urdu couplet I had read somewhere; the picture spawned the poem and Urdu couplet gave me the inspiration. Thanks.
