This is a great poem, one where justice is properly answered. Your note at the bottom says so much. We need to be advocates for ourselves, and not allow any system coerce or bully us.

knew you'd get this right down pat. You know who my friend is.Yep still coming over, everyday. He is working on my bike so it is rideable. I tend to fall over, even at a stand still. lol
So now that this court thing for more support is over for him, he seems to have relaxed a bit concerning our friendship. Yeah, now I only have to work on this 17 yrs gap between us and see what the New Year has for us. lol
A little spark in ones life can't be harmful, I hope.

He says the same numbers thing, he says, let's just say we are both 50 yrs and leave it at that. He's been letting out his past more and more. He's an actor did I tell you that? on hiatus since his split with mother of his daughter. Says he just hasn't had his mind right to do the job.\
I think I should try and encourage him to try it out again, start with some small bits here and there to get it going in his blood again. It's really interesting to watch tv with him. I worked with that guy, or girl, I did that role in that movie. surprise, surprise what he has done.
He's genuinely interested in my daughter's free lancing for makeup artistry, since he's had them work on him lots.
Life is throwing the ball, just need to figure out how fast the pitch is and to whom/

I understand this is a huge step, but you deserve all the happiness! Close your eyes and block out the age differences.
My parents were ten years apart and married for 36 years, prior to my mom's death.
Your personality is fun, lively and young. Age is a number! He certainly sees you for who you are, not a number.
How exciting that he was/is an actor. I went to school with a voice actress. She shared so many fun stories about the industry.
Maybe once he's settled, now that things have calmed down, he'll return to acting, especially with your support.
How great that he gets along with your daughter.
So close your eyes and leap! Toss the age difference out the window. You have so much to offer someone. He's lucky to have such a wonderful friend... and ... fill in the blanks.:D

He lives upstairs and that is too funny. No excuses that he can't make it over and can go home whenever at what ever time he wants.
A new year is approaching and one never knows what the next year has in store for them

You have so much to offer to someone! You're funny, warm and have such a great life outlook. Taking things slowly is smart. You really get to know one another.
Think of it, you both save gas and wear and tear on the cars living so closely together. LOL
Joking aside, you are a great lady! Age is only a number. He sounds like a super nice guy, one that sees all your best qualities. What's great is that you've both given the time to really get to know one another, form a bond of friendship and trust. The other will fall into place when you're ready. :)

thxs for your great response, Pleasure to read your comments and review, always. Nope I wasn't there. don't do court anymore, thank God. Learned how to keep the nose clean while watching more than partaking.` I do confess, the mind did tend to wander a bit, now and then. Many a story could tell.

Good idea, lulube. If you don't speak for yourself, the lawyer your lawyer will speak for you and the bill will put you on the street. LOL
For me it was for a divorce which my ex-husband got away with just defending himself. It wasn't even in a courtroom. I paid over $12,000 dollars over five years ago, and still haven't gotten the paper to prove I am not married to him.

oops for you. a lot of expense just not to be with someone anymore. Guess that's why I've never married. Just take what you came into this relationship and leave is my motto.

After 42 years of marriage, I at least needed half of what I worked for. No, there was no alimony, and the children were al grown. But I was getting old. Not many years left to work, so I had no choice.

interesting that you write this pleasant piece of non rhyming prose in verse format. whenever I read something in verse format I tend to want to read the rhyme and the rhythm but it naturally never comes because its non rhyming prose. this is just a curious question more than a critical point.
I like what you have read and I am sure many victims or criminals out there can relate!
