Sandra, This is great. I know exactly what your'e talking about. I struggle with reviews sometimes. I think it's because you have to have enough words or lines or whatever for the system to take it and I don't know exactly what to say. So I guess I babble on and hope for the best. Just like this review. So, super job on this poem, I really enjoyed it. Judy

Yes, you've got it. I would love to be as clever as some on here, and be able to give an informative review. Instead, I just let writers know how much I enjoy their work, or how I can relate to their words. Or I do what you do!! LOL, thank you so much, Judy. :) xsx Sandra

Just a talented writer who willingly shares your talent with others. The reviewee sometimes doesn't want your words because their work did not make the grade. A veteran reviewer can soften the blow. Well done.

No shortage of alliteration in this one! I read other reviewers' comments, too - especially when I'm not sure how to respond to a piece. The ones that leave me scratching my head are those who rate the work poorly, yet write how enjoyable it was to read! That makes no sense! Maybe I'm a nerd?

That is exactly it, I have often read other reviewers comments on pieces I don't understand. Quite honestly, this one was just a bit of fun, trying to find as many words that comes into the category of alliteration. The reviews are varied, and I'm sure many will have read what others have said. lol. Thank you for trying to understand, you did actually, when you remarked on the amount of alliteration was in this poem. :) Sandra

Thank you, Bill, for your lovely review. I doubt I will ever be able to give a useful review, as I should do. It's nice to try, but then it all looks wrong. I will always be honest and say how much I like another authors work, but if I don't like or understand it, I say nothing, I couldn't hurt someone who has put their heart into their work, just because it's not my sort. Perhaps that sounds cowardly? Thank you, my friend. xsx Sandra

It is not easy for us to always give helpful critiques when we're not familiar with a particular genre or poetry style. As long as we make an effort to point out what we liked in a piece, we're helping to encourage. I might as well mention that I will be spending less time here. It seems I'm always needing breaks from FS, but I also always come back.

It is not easy for us to always give helpful critiques when we're not familiar with a particular genre or poetry style. Aww, Lou, your reviews are always lovely, I will never be able to review as well as some on here. I just tell people what I like. You are the second one to tell me you are staying away, I'm not on here as much now, it did take over my life, but I still hang in there, as you do. Thank you for reading this bit of fun, I had a hard job trying to find enough words to test the alliteration. One thing you said about particular genre, I didn't even know there were 'genres' till I came on here, and I still write the way I always have done, I don't understand most of them! LOL. Thank you, Karyn, for your wonderful words. This was just a bit of fun, I have only just found out what 'alliteration' is, and how writers strive to use it. LOL, I've been writing for more than half a century, you'd think I would have known by now! I'm glad you like my reviews!! :) Sandra xsx

You are me both, Nancy, my reviews are always what I like about a poem. Yes, we will get there, it's only been about 60 years in the coming!! LOL. My time is up in December. I think you should stay, Nancy, you have such a big fan club, of genuine people who love your writing, me included in that. Anyway, what else would you do? Ice skating is a thought?? You carry on writing, when I looked through your portfolio, I came across your limericks, they were such fun. You have tried most styles and been successful every time.
