Touche on dishing the fashion industry. I thought this story was imaginative and clearly written. I buy what I want, and I wear what I buy... I'm with you, I don't care anymore what is fashionable or not; and brother I laugh all the way to the bank with the money I save! Good job and good luck in the contest.

This is just wonderful! I literally laughed out loud at the salons charging customers a fortune to make them look like a piece of crap. What wonderful observations - and they are all true!! Very funny and well written. Thank you for sharing and for the laugh! :-)

This was great. Fantastic. I remember and wore a lot of this . Rules , Rules, rules. I don't get the patterns and strips thing either. This really is a brilliant piece. Fun and clever. (I hate bras, left over from my hippie days). And we never left the house without a girdle and stockings (right before the panty hose was invented) High school days were a pain in the ass but I wouldn't have traded them for anything. Glad today to be much older, wear scrubs, and no bras on nights and weekends.

Excellent thoughts on the fashion world, and as you say who really cares about what's trendy and what's not. I think that statement could be applied to so many thinks, today. A fun piece that makes for an excellent entry to the prompt, and good luck.
