Medical report or not, justly incarcerated or not, I am getting to the point where I wish the entire Senate and congress were under lock and key. Don't let the bum out- unless Luke is in him.

Thanks, Ed. I know what you mean about Congress. I don't really think either party knows what it wants right now, except to make the OTHER look bad. I WISH they'd start doing their job and considering us, the people who elected them, for a change. What a bunch of children!

    Is Amanda feeling any better?
reply by the author on 20-Nov-2014
Yes, thank you. She's up and about and we went shopping yesterday. She got really tired though... nearly fell asleep at the restaurant afterwards. But today she's perky. Studying, studying, and more studying... for her driver's permit written test. She's such a perfectionist! I'm sure she knows more than enough by now, but she won't be satisfied till she has everything memorized. :)

Lorna could have been a lawyer on O.J's dream team. LOL! Another great chapter, Phyllis. Clearwater has more than his hospital visitors to worry about. Great chapter.

Just returned from China plus a few weeks off writing to prepare for the trip. See your still up to mischief with Blaze and Luke framing a psychiatrist/psychologist administrator.

Welcome back, Alan, and thanks so much for reading/reviewing. You missed a little bit... well, 15,000 words. What happened is this:

Blaze has always resisted Luke's advances, but when he showed up one day "wearing" Senator Blake's body, she couldn't resist and gave in to him. Blake was a terrific lover, even with Lucifer inside. Luke used the senator's body to try to stop the wedding of Ginger/Tara to Gary, but just made a crazy fool of BLake, who ended up in the county mental hospital. He's sure to lose next week's election now, so Lorna, his lawyer, and Blaze are working together to free him and repair his reputation. (Blaze was given the assignment by Luke, so both women need to get him out.)

Earlier, Blaze got a job as accountant for Theo's dance studio, now also owned by Cherise and Tara. Blaze and Tara are on the outs since Tara has been told by the priest to break with her life in Hell completely, not to associate with her old friend Blaze. Tara did invite her to the wedding, but only cuz she felt she had to. She is sorry to hurt Blaze's feelings, but she's torn between her new duty to God and to her old friend from hell. So, Tara will be shocked to find Blaze working at her dance studio! It was just a coincidence, but she may not think so. BLaze thinks it will serve Tara right, since Tara has been avoiding her. SHe can't avoid seeing her every day now!

Anyway, back to the current thing with Senator Blake. Blaze is still hot for his bod, but he doesn't know her. Lorna will help her with that, after she tells Clearwater what he must do. The poor guy is innocent. She went into his computer and messed with the files. She is about to use that now to make Clearwater agree to something and let the senator go.

This is another well written chapter.
I found the following sentence a bit awkward:
She looked up at his fallen face with her best insincere look of sincerity.
I know what you mean, but perhaps it could be rephrased. For me, it slowed my reading pace down, causing me to stumble.

Thank you so much, Nicole. Two other reviewers really liked that sentence, which was meant to be funny, so I suppose opinions differ, as they always do. :)

I'd like to know Blake's thoughts on all this. Does he think his opponant drugged him senseless? I'm sure the next time the doctor talks to him, he'll be making sense. And if I ever need a lawyer, I want Lorna. If anyone can sort out a mess, it's her. Don't worry about being late. It would be sad if life didn't get in the way sometimes.

Thanks, Cindy. You'll find out what Blake thought and felt about being accused of what Luke did... but not till he discusses it with Blaze. You KNOW they have to get together. :)

This is great, and I'm definitely going with six stars. I love the way Blaze has distracted Clearwater longer enough for Lorna to get to the files. Her excuse about having to go to her father is great after the story she's given Clearwater. Clever use of a fake name and phone number. Clearwater is about to be ambushed by Lorna. She is determined to free the Senator (Luke). Clearwater won't know what hit him when Lorna finishes. She is very determined. She and Blaze are quite a team. judi

You're welcome. Lorna looks like she's working her way dup (maybe I should say down) to being a demon. She has the instincts. judi

Twelve hours is nothing on FanStory, but if it were a deadline for a publisher it would be quite different. I found nothing to suggest or correct in the chapter, it is done very well and I will look forward to the next one. :)

Blaze sure a dodged a bullet.. I know she would have hated to him Clearwater. Lorna is one hell of a lawyer, the worse of the worse. But she's good at it. LOL

Great chapter.

HMMMM what could it be that the good - "Loosely coined" doctor could have done. I'm sure keeping Blake was legit given the crazy wedding scene and the god complex - or devil. I'm intrigued!

Thank you so much, Maria. :) Clearwater is not a doctor, but the administrator of the hospital.
