I guess the recent new snow fall has inspired these lovely words.
I love the pure the pearls and spared no expense part very dream like.

Very beautiful, Brooke. Growing up in MN, winters were longer than they are in PA. But whether it's winter in MN or here, I still get the call to go sledding or cross country skiing.

Great fun with perfect rhyme. My first introduction to poetry, I believe, was my mom reading a poem to me. This jarred loose that memory for some reason. But, I am unsure why. It's strange, but this poem reminds me of that and the story of the kitten who lost his mittens, which was my favorite. I felt so bad for the poor little kitten! LOL Beautiful, Brooke, Take care. Bruce.

Woeful winter strikes with ease
Making children cough and sneeze
Some say, why he's just a tease
But I don't like paying his fees
But that's another poem for another day. Yours was absolutely beautiful from beginning to end. Well done, Buck

I am looking out my window at our first major snow storm while reading this poem. It is a magical description of a magical event. My favorite line is the first one: "white the world!" Caroline

Great images of a winter wonder land. I like the lines about winters wand. At time it really does seem like some one merely waves a wand and the landscape is covered in a blanket of fleecy snow. A wonderful poem, Brooke.

I cheered at your using "White" as a verb, along with your alliteration and rhythmic, rhymed couplets. Try to stay warm amid the Arctic Vortex- Joan

Love the artwork as the big eyes peep our at the winter wonderland. Love the alliteration in this poem- where the Winter's waved her wand and pure the pearls. We don't get winter as such here in Townsville but you make it sound magical in these verses.
