I loved how this touched me before I had a chance to get my brain involved to figure out why. What a wonderful little gem. I started to think of all the stars in my life that took a fall and it was nice to think of them in such a warm way without regret. Beautiful poetry. mikey

Lovely bright artwork and a lovely little poem about the falling stars. It seems we never get too old to lose our wonder of the falling star as it whizzes across our night sky, I never do anyway. Nice read Brooke.

And though I'll never see again
those stars that took a fall,
I can't regret the beauty of
their final curtain call.
they are indeed beautiful - I always feel so small when I look up at the night-sky - when I can't sleep, I sit in the conservatory and watch the sky - so vast. Getting too cold of a night to do that now.
A lovely poem, Brooke.

Comment from Sanku
It is not just the beauty of a falling star ,if you are quick enough you may make a wish and chances are it would come true. I am not sure ,but that is what is generally understood.Anyway the sheer beauty is enough to love the scene.Stars are a permanent source of wonder to children, aren't they? loved this one .

Thank you, Sanku, for your gracious and thoughtful response to my poem :-) My grandson was in love with stars before he could speak well enough to pronounce the word right :-) Brooke

Cute and a fun read. I am sure children will remember this one as they grow.
I love looking up into the expanse of the night's sky and just pondering.
Best wishes and dreams

Am an avid star-watcher from my back deck and often look for those red stars that we hear explode light years away and we only see a glimmer in the sky. You've done a great job with visuals in this and your art choice is spot on. Good one Brooke. Jean

This makes a good metaphor for life. We see the bright stars of this world shine so brightly as they fly through life until finally extinguished. However, life itself, like the firmament, cannot be extinguished. There will always be new stars to light our way.

This is the best you have done, in my estimation. I loved it. The best line is, the stars final curtain call. I felt the urge to look into the universe when I read it. Well done!
