Why I missed this acrostic? If it was not announced as a winner, I won't be able to read this.

I believe you, my friend. I've seen a couple of ghosts in my 43 years of existence. One, when I was 5 to 6 y.o and the other, I was 24 years old. I think, they have reasons why they keep coming back. Either to remind the living about what happened to them or to avenge their death.

oh! I feel relieved.

Here's another paranormal encounter. I have a co-teacher who is so reserved, demure and became possessed by what they called a gray dwarf (?) It is in between black (evil) and white (good). When we were praying to God to spare my co-teacher's body from harm, I was able to talk to him.

My co-teacher was a Catholic turned Born Again Christian. That time, she was somewhere in between. That's backsliding for the gray dwarf and he said it made them strong.

That was 20 years ago and she is now married. I think, the gray dwarf left her because she married already. c", Mae

Congratulations, Dean, for placing in the contest. You've helped proved an Acrostic poem need not be telegraphic and devoid of poetic techniques. Your strong use of end rhymes and occasional use of enjambment helped the poem seen less acrostic and more poetic. I'm so pleased it placed.

As a New Englander (Massachusetts) tales of ghosts abound. At every corner there is a "haunted house." You'd love it. This acrostic describes Andrea's Ghost perfectly getting her revenge upon the townsfolk.

I do enjoy the Acrostic poems, and you did a good job with this one. Andrea's story is particularly chilling. No wonder she haunts--seems to have plenty of company. I always enjoy the educational part of your writes. I've not encountered apparitions before, but have been in the presence of ghosts playing tricks. 'Tis a bit unnerving!

One of my favourite reality shows is Long Island Medium. The spiritual world holds a fascinating interest some good, others dark and haunting.
