Wow, you put that scare in there, and I know I don't want to go to......Hate the devil. Reminding wake-up call, even though I was in church just yesterday. Every encouragement is welcome. The tone is harsh as it should be, and the rhyming lines flow well. Have a great week:) Really like the last line and picture.

This is another masterpiece. A true battle of good versus evil, reminiscent of Christ's battle with Satin in the bible. It flowed beautifully with eloquent lines, lovely alliteration, incredible animations, and profound imagery. I was blown away. Read it it my wife too. She was blown away. Bravo!

Dean this was incredible. You really are a master at telling these deep dark stories and putting those underworld ideas into your poetry. Perfect in every way. The power of evil overcome by the mightier power as he sends the rain his soothing veil. Loved the pictures although your words said everything they needed to say. Just loved it. Amazing. Genya

this is an excellent write, dean, you did an excellent job portraying the way the devil tempts us while we are at our weakest and lures us with the sin we have the most difficulty turning away.

    Ha-ha, well, Michael, I rarely eat now as it is, surviving on a rich, healthy diet of caffine and more caffine.

    Thanks for the fabulous comments, and for taking time out to review this for me. It is appreciated! :}

Dean;
and possibly seven stars it's a right roundabout number.
Exceptionally well-written composition, superb tempo and meter, intense imagination that is demonstratively descriptive and expressive, marvelous story within a poem, tasty metaphorical phrase in simile type statements and most of all extremely and fascinatingly entertaining.
And besides the pictures that represent and complement your poem these are just but a few of probably many more I could complement your poem from what I've obtained from reading it.
Superb rhyming which was neither forced nor labored and helped with your rhythmic flow which flowed so intricately well throughout your writing.
I could begin to write down passages of your extremely imaginative, descriptive and expressive imagery but I think you basically know what you have written and understand what I mean: "and when that happens without fail, God sends the rain His soothing veil." This pretty much is summing up part of your poem an excellent ending to such a great writing.
Thank you for sharing and posting this being for everyone to read and when he got his start being recognized in the majority of the public eyes and be published in magazines like the New Yorker or some other well-known the affiliate.
This is best way I can explain you in your writing:
"you having manifested the knowledge, skill and experience needed for success in a particular field or endeavor such as poetry, is an asset to everyone.
Thank you for sharing and posting this my friend and may the Lord keep and bless you always.
Alex

I'd be interested in knowing what you had for supper on Saturday night! LoL. Really, really great poem - love the format and the thunder - quite unexpected, but very effective. The preacher and old Mrs. Bailey made me smile - I think I had her in the fifth grade, actually! Great rhythm and a smooth flow - very lyrical. I enjoyed this immensely. Thanks. Sweet dreams!

Wow Dean! What more to say. At first by the title I thought it would be about the pain in the knees from the weather:) I sure was wrong!

This had my hackles up right away. I think you described exactly how the devil must work.

Great piece of work. Keep taking those meds - lol!

Teresa
