This one made me giggle. Those poor worms! And the bird in the picture looks like he enjoyed more than one. A worm's life is sure is tough and short! Evi

Oh dear, poor worms! This is a delightful but sad piece of poetry Brooke. I truly believe you could write a poem about anything!! Well done as always.

Another fine counting poem. I am always impressed at the ways you find to do in the hapless subjects. Of course two actually escaped, but I bet that Robin will be back - early. Thanks for the morning smile. - Wendy

Excellent counting poem for children.
Good use of abcb rhymes in you 8/6/8/6 quatrains.
Some lessons could be learnt from these words too. Always pay attention to your surroundings

This is a very educational poem where children would be able to know in Mathematics - subtraction. Aside from that, children learn and adults too, behavior of worms in any weather situations - very visual in each . So perfect in the write of your presentation, the rhyming, rhythm and flow are all perfect. I know children would love to read his poem, and to me too. Thanks so much for sharing.} Lin

Brooke - this is very clever and well written. Poor worms - you are cruel LOL. I don't know how you keep thinking of these number poems. Perfect abab rhyme scheme, and very imaginative demise of the worms. Children will love this, as I did. Warm regards Dorothy x

This counting poem will entice the kids but it does little for the confidence of worms LOL. The rhythm and rhyme work well and each story vignette is amusing and well connected to the repetitive destruction of the 10. Kids love repetition as you well know, and this modern day take on 'Ten Little Indians' should go down well with the wee ones.

Hi Brooke :) So glad I'm not a worm! They are very unfortunate creatures aren't they?!
I loved your little number count down rhyme - I like that it isn't run of the mill, it has that element of realism and it not candy coated even though it's still cute and will appeal to youngsters.
Nicely done!
Kindest regards as always, Debra :) x
