This is yet another interesting and beautiful poem that the author has created with this piece of work. This is a lonely night-time tale about what happens when the sun goes down.

The Moon is my companion
when Sun has gone to bed,
abandoning her duties
to rest her weary head.
Hi Brooke, you showed me a new way to turn to in time of need when darkness comes closer to me. A light, whoa Brooke, never would your poems feel common, always for me they are very special. Amazing poem.
Hi to Sawyer. Love Terry xoox

Of course I had to love this one ... and ode to the moon., Who could resist.
You have remeinded me that I have lately missed my eveing runs.
No wonder I feel a tad down in the nouth, I have not hung out with the moon in a bit. Well, tonight I will see him again.
Hugs,d

lovely light hearted poem in 7/6/7/6 meter and solid abcb rhymes.
This presentation reminds me of long ago when we went for walks in the moonlight.

What a wonderful yin & yang pairing (this, and I Issued An Invitation)
Both poems surely stand alone, but encountering them one after another
somehow elevated them both!
Combined they sing a piper's song of time marching on. . .as we're shepherded by guiding lights.
Very nice :-)

To adewpearl,
A delightful poem addressing the times of the sun and moon. For without either we all would be living in total darkness.
Nice flow and rhythm to your stanzas.

Dear Brooke, the moon has also been my companion
for many years, it's a friend that listens but
doesn't tell.
I love your poem, the rhyme and flow are beautiful.
As always, it was a pleasure reading your poem.

A great companion piece to your poem about the sun. Make sense you can't have one without the other. Though the moon is a fascinating aspect of the sun as it is a mirror of the sun's light. It's hard to fathom that the sun continues to shine despite the earth revolving away from it, but we have the moon to confirm it. A wonderful with a fun feel to it. A wonderful poem, Brooke.

And the moon is important if you're alone in the darkness. I mean, have you ever been alone in the jungle or a place like that with no light? The moon is great.

Thank you, JM, for your thoughtful review :-) I've been in a couple of caves where the guide turned the lights out to show us total darkness. Brooke

The moon is a fantastic companion, and your work artfully states this. Moonlight is mystery and romance after the sun has set. The picture is a beautiful compliment.
