Excellent poem. Excellent fantasy writing about the sun.

Hi Brooke,
With that exquisite picture and your wonderful words, you have personified the sun so well. I found the ending interesting because 'she' says she'll try to find her. The sun is not in control of the weather (or fate perhaps?)
Hugs,
Lou

Awww, very nice Brooke. What a charming little poem and it will make good sense to the children. They will love it. I love the picture and presentation as well! I feel all warm and cozy. :<) Nancy

A lovely work. It flows smoothly and the vivid imagery paint of picture of beauty. Oh, to converse with the sun, what an dream. {but} though we've barely met,(but, unnecessary. It introduces a glitch in this otherwise lovey work.

This is another beautiful poem that every inquisitive child would definitely love, especially those who love to fantasize about just anything around them, the moon , the sun, the sky and the stars. Every child went through that stage when they have to talk to heavenly bodies and make them their friends in their own world of make believe, just like what this poem did. God bless.

Stunning artwork indeed. Just the right persona for our friend the sun. She does her best to come most days, when our other friend the cloud, doesn't get in her way. Lovely and sweet. I do adore your poetry.

I like this, I issued an invitation...Trying to think the Sun as that possessing human qualities, & being a the friend of this great wonder in the sky, & he is yours, requesting his return, you do....Leaving at Nighttime, and there again, tomorrow, by letting him know he is welcome. And, choose, you did, a fabulous picture to highlight.

You know during medieval times it was said that exceptionally powerful witches possessed the abilities to summon the sun and moon at will, to make the elements of nature do their bidding.
Thank God this isn't medieval times, huh?
Good rhyming and tempo in this one, Brooke.

Loved your personification in your poem, Brooke, and the meter made it read so smoothly. I'm thinking there will be some gloomy days this winter where it would be grand just to invite the sun to shine, and it will.
Smiles,
Karyn :-)

Two fabulious pieces in a row but then I expect nothing else. Your ability to make these flow so nicely is unsurpassed in my readings. My desire to follow as you write is total
