Good use of abcb rhymes. Sawyer and other children will surprise you with their reactions. they are so exposed nowadays that they are not afraid of the things that scared us as children

LOL! I love it! Bless him, the candies are far better than the spooks! Blew it a kiss?? I can just see him doing that, I mean, he has proved himself by protecting his Chloe, so a few nasties aren't going to stop him. LOL Brilliant, Brooke xsx Sandra!

What a cute little one...and a cute poem as well. I remember those days so well with Austin. He would get two or three pieces of candy and then want to quit so he could sit down and eat them. Precious memories.

Ha! That's cool. Great poem. A lot of fun. My son had a similar experience, but it took him about five minutes to approach the scariest house in our neighborhood.

Thanks so much, driven - I was impressed how he let go of his parents' hands to march to the doors all by himself. :-) His mother would have been holding onto my hand with a death grip. LOL :-) Brooke

Cute, funny and well written.
Very nice compact structure with well placed rhymes and short 'to the point' lines. The 'matter of fact' style matched the candy seeker's attitude. My hat is off to your fearless little one.
Thanks for writing.

Well done with this one Brooke, I enjoyed the metronomic meter, the great abcb rhyming, the wonderful imagined of your your dear grandson and the developing memories you have in cherished early youth! I understand! Blessings Roy.

Yes, the candies does it, much better that the doom and gloom of that bride of horror. Maybe, our hero might dump some of the sweet offerings into her mouth. Well done, Brooke.

So very cute, Brooke. I am so glad you have that little man to bring you some surprises and joy. I was not feeling well over the holiday, so I remained in my cave and watched some Jane Austen movies, while my little monsters went out with their Mama.
