Well, at least the bride wasn't locked in a trunk in the attic. And on an even better note, it sounds like a great time was had by every boy and banshee, girl and ghoul.

Funny, yes on this one night, all idea of fear are lost to the desire for candy. Candy is the real god of Halloween and it can not be denied. Funny and fit.

I admire Sawyer's tunnel vision when it comes to headless women and candy, Brooke. :-)

Don't tell me on his way out the house, he saw a mouse and screamed. LOL.

Great fun shortie - 'so find yourself a sissy' said your brave little soldier.

Cheers, Ray xx

Thanks so much, Ray - the only thing that really frightens him are those automatic flush toilets they have in airports and malls :-) Brooke

Obviously the desire for sweets far outweigh the fear of anything that might stand in the way. Bravo for the brave one who would not be deterred from his quest for sweetness. Great poem Brooke. Oh and awesome photo as well.

C'mon, candy trumps a broad (even one with a head) any day.
Headless dead dames offer limited opportunities for recreation.

Your little man has his priorities in order. Snickers over knockers. But wait a few years.

Peace, Lee

Lee, thank you so much :-) Let's hope his candy preference is Snickers because his mommy has already made it clear that she plans to confiscate all his Reese's for herself :-) Brooke

Ha! How cute! Terse and to the point! Did he stick with the one costume all night or did he go home and change half way through the evening?!!

Thanks so much, flamingstar - nope, wore that costume for trick or treating because his mommy had made Woody and Jesse costumes from the same movie for her and daddy to wear when they went out together - if I hadn't mentioned, my daughter is somewhat of a Halloween fanatic LOL :-) Brooke

..and I wouldn't expect any less from Sawyer,
he's too smart to let skeletons or headless brides keep him from the sweets!
Great little poem with fine meter and rhyme.
The first time I took our daughter trick or treating she was two and the first house we went to had a full size zombie jump out at us as we walked to the door. She let out a blood-curdling scream and wouldn't calm down until I brought her home!

What a cute story :-) Thanks so much, Nancy - you would think a zombie would have more sensitivity to the vulnerability of a toddler girl :-) Brooke

Wow - Now those folks know how to celebrate Halloween - something a little scary, but not so much as to give the children nightmares. A fine art.
Loved your telling of Sawyer's non-fright-night.
It put a big smile on my face.
Rose.
