this is an excellent chapter, cogitator, I enjoyed reading about the planning process but got lost in the technicalities of the software program. I look forward to the next chapter.

This is to establish the groundwork. It will be explained better in the later chapters. Although this is science fiction, it is also a commentary on our society. Thank you so much...John

Interesting theories and philosophy, just hope the surviving population is willing to go along with everything. I think there is always the possibility of dissidents in any society or community. Well expressed thoughts and good use of descriptive language. One thing near the beginning, the position of the adverb in a sentence. Line 2, you can either start off with Soon..... or you can say They were soon......., you don't normally place it between subject and verb. Enjoyable read. Faye
