I could definitely see a young child telling this tale of monsters hiding in the closet, especially if he didn't want to go to bed. You painted a poetic picture with words, but when my kids were six years old, this story would have scared them to the point of wanting to sleep in our bed. A sleepless night for sure! Creative and I loved the graphic. Nice job and good luck in the contest.

Nice "dialogue" poem and your monster picture is adorable. Very fitting for your write. I enjoyed reading this.
One possible edit: Second line, "I can hear you. Why are [YOU] in there?"

This is a darling poem and I love how you have incorporated the parents into it as well. This free verse poem is well written and a cute image accompanies it. Good luck in this contest.

Nicely written. Loved the line daddy was ready yo karate chop the monster, and the last line for mummy to tell daddy he was not scared. Good luck in the contest. Blessings, Pat
