The author shows love and appreciation of his wife by writing a tribute poem for her birthday.
The first stanza lists the attributes that he most appreciates: a gentle spirit, loving grace, godly nature, beautiful face.
The rest of the poem is devoted the union with God's son, God's mercy, Christ's shadow, etc.
I have to agree that she appears to be a wonderful person. And forgiving of the author, since she only gets one stanza when God gets four.
Happy birthday!
Cheers,
DW

Your poem is a lovely birthday tribute to your wife, Roy. I hope you presented it to her as a gift -- because it is!
Your poem is well written with perfect rhyme, and your words have a wonderful flow. I particularly like the second stanza:
"Companion in life's struggle
And partner in shared dreams;
Tasting hunger's hollows
Yet standing in light's beams.
Well done. Your wife has a lovely smile. Thank you for sharing, Roy! Alana

Lovely tribute to your wife. I liked the "unposed", natural photograph.
Reminds me of the saying"Rather than two lovers gazing into each others eyes, it's more important they both be gazing out in the same direction."
I'm sure she loved this "tribute" and was grateful for the wonderful birthday gift.
Well done.

Jesus promises to be with us through thick and thin. It is a wonderful thing when the whole family worship and and prays together. This is well written.

What a wondrous and loving tribute you've scribed to make your already lovely wife lovelier.
Gosh, how full of high praise and meaning are your lines:
Companion in life's struggle
And partner in shared dreams;
Tasting hunger's hollows
Yet standing in light's beams.
What honor you've bestowed.
