Roy;
An extremely exceptional piece of poetry that I enjoyed reading very much in which was so inspirational and enlightening throughout the writing.
Beautiful tempo and meter throughout the rhythm and a rhyming that was neither forced nor labored and helped with the rhythmic flow.
The imagery was very clear and distinct and overall very descriptive and exquisitely expressive throughout the writing. This is what made it so inspirational and enlightening was how you love extended itself to the love of Christ and that love channeled through you to your lovely wife.
Thank you for sharing such a beautiful poem for everyone to read and may the good Lord be with you always Roy.

What a wonderful tribute to your wife and maker Roy. How long does it take you to write your rhymes?

I find rhyming verse flows easily and can be written quite quickly the only thing is people always say my rhyme seemed forced..HELLO its rhyme..but no one forced me!! lol

you definitely have to put together a book of gospel poems it would self very well amongst the congregations of the religious communities for sure

Thanks Dip, for your great review, it's sometimes hard, the more you do it the easier it gets, changing the end word without interfering with the integrity of the poem is sometimes what I do, you find another word that fits, lovely stars, thanks my friend, blessings, Roy.

Obviously Roy we share more than a love of writing, we won the lottery when it came to finding our life-long companion.

I bet your scored top marks when you showed her this.

Thank you Bob, quite often the people in our lives inspire us to be better than we are, I have the best wife who has stuck with me through thick and thin, a very close and faithful friend, who believed in me when I didn't, and the best, loving daughters who I adore, God has been good to me, when I didn't deserve It, I'm a lucky man! What a beautiful tribute to your wife Roy! I loved the poem. The third stanza is my favorite, especially the lines "tasting hunger's hollows/yet standing in light's beams." Those lines highlight the highs and lows that are certainly present in life. And, it is truly wonderful to have a loving, Godly companion in those times of high and lows! I hope your wife has read this poem, and appreciates and loves it, as much as you so obviously appreciate and love her. Great work!
