Hey...a good goodbye to the hallows eve...to the night that the veil between worlds is thin and things best left under the bed and in closets rattle and crawl.
I have enjoyed your poems for this theme of the year...and this one is a super one to leave us with:-)

This is a bit of a departure from the normal that the author has created with this piece of work. This is certainly a piece I paranormal writing. Well done on changing the pace.

The cantering rhythm here gives a lightness that belies the macabre subject and brings it back into the realms of delight for children during this ancient festival of Halloween.

A marvelously spooky tale for the Halloween Eve. These lines are great,

"Tis then when it did what all evil will do --
As the dark kept it covered, it flourished and grew."

I am having a hard time making this one flow as well as the others,

"but then as the rumblings picked up neath each mound,"

Thanks, once again, for the great Halloween verse.

This was packed with horror - ghosts and goblins galore. Highly entertaining as the horror creeps from the graves to celebrate the season. Thank goodness they only crawl out once a year! Nicely done.

This is about my most favorite poem of yours! I loved it completely! Way to go. I had quite a bit more length to it as well, and what a story you tell!

Beautiful anapestic rhythm throughout, Brooke - A fine spooky story for Halloween, straight from the graveyard. You do well with this particular holiday - This is but one of many creepy Halloween tales from your talented pen. Got a book of 'em going?

I bow to the master, my friend - this is fantastic! As a lover of horror and all things Halloween (LOL), I couldn't find a more entertaining or perfectly crafted poem.

(Still experiencing pc problems but working on it. Btw - that latest pic of Sawyer looks like an oil painting! - Just fabulous!)
