Is this more or less about you? I think it might be. Your grandfather made you a special chair, when you were a baby. Then the whole world comes over me.

What's wrong with this picture? Nothing. It shows the kind of men who'll protect our country in the future. Men trained to scare Hell outta others. Men dedicated to guarding the borders, lifting the boulders and hurling 'em at any adversaries. A battalion of THESE guys will easily prevail.

Funny story, Truthful Jones:--) Started laughing soon as I began reading and couldn't easily stop...This is excellent and great therapy!

Shades of Humpwhistle, Mikey. For a while your prose seemed to model the voice of Dean Kuch. Honestly,, I hear so many different voices in your prose. You probably aren't even aware of it. Love the names of all your characters in this piece and the colloquialisms as well as the references to Australia. Be interesting to see how this turns out.

Michael, this is a first class effort, with endless humor and spoof. Very imaginative and creative, and one of the best reads we have seen here recently. I enjoyed it immensely.

Well, this is definitely a fun and interesting way to start a story. It's hard to do dialects because they can so often be off putting, but here it doesn't damage the flow at all. It remains quite readable. Entertaining and funny. Well done.

I love the picture. I love the story. I would have liked a baby sitter like that for my young'uns at times. They could be real rascals at times. Then I got to reading and found he was more yarn that brawn. He can spill a fanciful tale. Great work. Eager to read more.

LOL Oh blimey, Mikey - you are funny.

I was pretty lost in the lingo to be honest, being brit n all, but none the less, what I did pull out of this was a great sense of humor and tongue in cheek slap stick.

The word 'Eskimo' you may want to change to inuit, for pc reasons though, I think...

Don't I feel like a skunk at possum orgy?

alligator Dongee

He took a pack of dingos on a raft! WTF! LOL

Footlong/Bigfoot - priceless

kind regards
tracey :)

This was a sweet, charming little story. The opening line made me laugh. I liked how it was written and came across. The picture of bigfoot is confusing at first but it kept me curious. Thank you for a sharing and keep writing.

Mikey, what a wonderfully spun yarn complete with the colloquial speech and touches of humor. Are you sure you didn't spend some time in dem hollers up in does Appalachians in your other life, just playing. Nice work, my friend. :0 GracieAnn
