Your story was elegant and presented in a most charming manner. I grew to love one character and dislike another very quickly with your excellent descriptions. I like the start and finish both dwelling on the eerie lights. Very well presented and no spag to distract this reader.

Thank you so much! I am thrilled that you enjoyed it. It is easy to fault Preston since we pick this up at the end of both their lives LOL - hardly paints him in a cheery color. I am always grateful for such wonderful encouragement and support.

That's a beautiful picture of the Abby. That was a great story and I think the plot would make a great Gothic Novel. I used to read Gothic paperback novels when I was young. A great example of how a dream can become a nightmare in no time at all. Well done Monica. Nancy

This is the type of story to settle in with, like with a paperback on a rainy day. It might not be received as well on FS due to the heavy narrative and descriptions, but who knows? Well written.

Thank you so much! Well if they don't like it so be it LOL. Given that this is a residual haunting I had to forego dialog since the spirits do not interact they simply replay the events over and over. Gothic styling is a toughie since it relies heavily on description and evoking emotion - I am happy it did that for you which makes it already worth the effort. I am very grateful for the head's up and kind encouragement.
