The photo is absolutely gorgeous and complements your rhyming poem well. We only just don't know what Rapunkel is. But Sawyer and his friend start early.

Ine, thank you so much. Rapunzel is the maiden in a famous fairy tale about a princess locked in a tower who needs a hero to rescue her Brooke

Your poem evoked beautiful imagery, with strong rhymes, and a steady meter. A refreshing take on the feminist rant about the 'rescue', and a wonderful acknowledgement of the strength of both parties involved. The accompanying image was simply delightful, and brought a smile to my face.
Blessings,
~ J.

I love the variety of style poetry you offer readers. I recently started following Nasha17 because of the mention on Fanstory of her deeds, but to date I have only found one style from her and the tempo is nothing compared to what I see in yours.

This is a cute children's story that also says much about an adult subject. If one is going to be "rescued" by one's true love, it should be for the right reasons.

Hi Brooke, I love it, this poem is superb, inspired by the children's story. The picture of sawyer and chloe would win a prize on it own.
A great write with wonderful rhyme. I loved this stanza
for men must all feel useful
though we, the women, know,
our power is within us -
the rescue's just for show.
Well done
Mary, a deserved six.

Oh, a true knight and his lady... How sweet the two of them look. It inspired an excellent poem, Brooke, which I enjoyed very much, Giddy

This is a wonderfully engaging retelling of the Rapunzel story with a decidedly modern twist. Love it. Every princess and princess wannabe. She's also wise beyond her years. I do believe you've taken a trip in a time machine. Don't you wish you had ask the one you thought was your prince these very question? Note: I'd ask them why it mattered
to save me from my plight -
was I their motivation,
or showing off their might?
This stanza reminds me of Lerner and Lowe when Guinevere sings the Lusty Month of May. Camelot is one of my favorite musicals.
If men knew how much we actually let them do, they might be hurt. It's secret we must keep, right?
Nice pacing. Pensive tone, and overall smoothness make this poem a winner in my book. Almost forgot to mention the picture which is perfect for your theme. Fantastic presentation.

Donya, thank you so much, my generous friend. I'm not so sure I can keep it a secret now that this poem lets the cat out of the bag. LOL :-) Brooke
