I started on a daily preventive a couple of months ago and it had been working pretty well. I think the stress of shoulder surgery may and not sleeping very well has triggered them again. Thanks so much for the great review:)

TAB,
Your feelings are expressed well. Very nicely written work. Perfectly arranged. Very good formatting. Smooth flowing.
Very reflective, all thoughts are very well described, understandable and comprehensible.
There was no SPAG, no typos, no room for improvement.
I look forward to seeing you again.
Love you,
Oatmeal

Hi Teresa. I'm so sorry you have these. It is a terrible thing. I am sending well wishes. I get migraines, and need dark and stillness.
I'm away and computer time is limited so it may take a while for me to respond. I will bear you in mind and send cool ocean breezes your way. padumachitta

One thing I've never had to experience thank goodness, but your poem presents a vivid (and painful) picture of what it must be like.
Three vivid images in the first half show the mixture of symptoms while the second half suggests hat you are rying to combat the pain.

Dear Tab, The imagery in your poem is beyond excellent. I knew you were talking about a migraine just from your vivid words. I hope you start feeling better soon. I would say yes the shoulder surgery has something to do with it. Hang in there. have you tried a heating pad for your shoulder. I had a seizure recently and hurt my rotator cuff and tenons in my lt shoulder. I am in PT now and will be for 5 more weeks. Heat has helped me so much. Much more than ice. ICE HURTS. Please take care, Shirley

Hi Shirley thanks for the r/r and for the suggestion of heat. My doctor won't let me use heat yet, only ice. The ice really does help me and I've been lucky that PT hasn't been painfully for me like it is for so many people. Surgery was 5 weeks ago. Hopefully, I'll get rid of the sling next week. Are you able to sleep in bed or did/do you have to sleep in the recliner. I'm still in the recliner. I think my spine is out of wack and therefore the migraines. Best to you.

Well, Teresa, atleast you found some humor here with Aunt Jemima's turban, so you haven't lost your sense of humor! Hope these migraines don't continue.. thanks for still writing for us!

An apt description of a very difficult situation.
I hope you soon find relief.
It must be impossible to carry on with the trivialities of life while facing such pain.

I have recently been fighting a migraine myself, so I know what you're saying. I took a pain pill and nothing stopped. Then my son said, Mom, you may be in front of the computer too much. Turn the light from your screen down or just stay off it for a white. I think he's right. I spend hours in front of my computer, either reading you guys, or writing chapters to my novel. I even watch TV on my computer because I got rid of my cable. But, putting a cold compress and closing my eyes does help easing the pain. Also, you may be under some stress.

I can certainly empathise with you as I have recently had a severe migraine. You have described it very well. I hope they subside for a while. Well done.
