Family gatherings can often be very stressfull. It frequently helps to write about things causing anxiety. I how this free verse poem does that for you.

Family meetings of long years not seen or communicated
with on a frequent basis, can be risky and touch and go.
Hopefully, it will go off smoothly, and not be as bad
as feared. Think positive about it, and it may well be

I think we all have some measure of anxiety over visitors period no matter who they are. Good way to vent and as to the style, theme, grammar ect. of this piece, well it read easily, clearly understood and has a jaunty little flow to it. Well done. xoxo Kiwi
