Dean Kuch, I am far from one to judge on Poetry Mechanics for I am truly meter challenged, but I do know good poetry. How very gruesome! Wonderfully executed. It does remind me of my dream and no kidding..

I use to work part time in the Death Service Industry(Funeral Home). I would have these dreams where I would be talking on the phone in the kitchen of the dream-state like funeral home and I would be interrupted by a rustling noise of some sort.

I would then turn to look toward the hallway and all the deceased whom had been lying in state and those awaiting preparation just got up and started walking down the hall toward the kitchen door which led out to the driveway where the hearse's were often being cleaned.Instead of I thinking it odd, I told the person on the phone to hold on a few I had some business to take care of and then I started yelling at the corpses to mind and get back in their rooms. lol...They just kept coming and multiplying all while taking the hearse keys off the kitchen wall. I would watch all of them through the blinds get into the shiny black hearses, which by this time were lined up around a block. They would just look at me with their dead pan faces and wave good-bye. As they drove away, the hearse's radios started blaring some kind of music I couldn't decipher and the last black hearse had a huge sign on its trunk that said" We've gone to have a HELL UV A GOOD TIME..all are invited! Then below that its said.. R.I.P. which meant the Rowdy's Interment Party. You know I still have this dream today and it has been at least 2 years since I have worked or even set foot in a Funeral Home..So Dean, this poetry of yours not only made me laugh but is so eerily close to my dream, although strangely I was never scared..lol...Isn't that funny?

Maybe you can interpret my dream. lol..

Well done.. I thoroughly enjoyed.. jlsavell

Hah, well, that only thing I can interpret about your dream, jlsavell, is that it would make for one helluva story, LOL! Now, why can't I have dreams like that, that was great, hee-hee!

I urge you on the next horror prompt to write this story. It would be a huge hit with horror aficionados like myself. If you don't, then I will, heh-heh...

Thanks a bunch for the entertaining terror tale and gracious review. Both are very much appreciated. :D

you write the story, double dawg dare ya.. it is hysterical. First of all, my family thinks I am just plain morbid. On the contrary I am not. I would go back to working in the death service industry if I needed another job.

I am not good at macabre or horror.

It is a funny dream and most unusual. It is always recurring so it must mean something!!!

It doesn't disturb me in the least bit, but I refuse to put blinds up because it reminds me of my dream.. How strange..lol...

I just wish I could decipher the music.

Oh that poor mortician, so busy and with so many corpses to manage! I enjoyed this great work and the fun in between those posing for dead. Great rhyming!

How macabre and so appropriate at this time of year. You are so fantastically spooky and frightening at times, although I have to admit that the thought of dead bodies dancing in the morgue sort of made me laugh(while hiding under the sheets). Evi

A pleasure, Dean! I've entered two contests. The one I submitted for The Way Station is INSANE! Lol! If it won, I'd be amazed, lol.

The other contest...there I might stand a chance. It's the horror writing contest.

I fig. enter contests, learn, have fun!

This is a good one for the upcoming holiday. I am certain that if this poor mortician saw anything of this sort he would certainly be spending some quality time in a nuthouse soon after.

Thank you for this poem. The last two poems I read left me dazed and confused. I thought that maybe I was having a stroke, that is until I read your wonderful poem. Thank you so much.

One, Two, Three, bend. One, Two, Three, kick. Pivot, kick. Pivot kick. Come on all you stiffs in the back, keep up! A wonderfully delightful (or is that delightfully wonderful) romp amongst the corpses. Well done indeed!

This is so well done, Dean. You blow me away with your constant special works of art. The presentation is awesome and your poem is somewhat delightful, yet doleful in a sense. Just always a delight to read your stuff. You are so professional and such a leader here. I am so proud to be one of your followers. Never disappointed.
