Actually, if I had anything negative to say, I'd surely say it. Poets are very special people, I often believe. But at other times I think that that special poetic inspiration finds its way to anyone willing...

Well written short piece of prose on the theme of inspiration and writing. I agree with most of the things you have mentioned, especially with reference to poetry (obviously because I am a poet) You are right about some people's poetry being too distant, bringing about confusion. I would add to that: it is sometimes so vague that it is incomprehensible. Luckily, people who read my verse all say one of the reasons they like it is because they can understand it. Your prose was well narrated, informative and with good use of descriptive language. Nature is the prime source of my inspiration. Most enjoyable and good luck in the contest. Faye

Hi fayesh. Loved this read however, using the piece of poetry seems almost like cheating to me even though it is used as an example. Don't get me wrong the piece is good just would have loved to hear more of your own personality in the write. Good luck. xoxo Kiwi
