this is a sweet write, brooke, he definitely isn't the scary monster type with that smile. he's adorable. I wouldn't scream if I saw him. this made me smile.

The costume is lovely, and the photo complements your rhyming poem very well. Is he going to take part in Halloween? Probably.

Ine, thank you so very much :-) He does a bunch of Halloween activities in addition to trick or treating, including a school parade and party :-) Brooke

Brooke: another delightful tale of a two year old! He is lucky to have TWO costumes. But, you are right, this little fellow is not doing the scary business of Halloween. He is far too cute an cuddly! My greatgrandson, Bentley, is totally into Thomas the Train. I haven't heart about his costume yet. These little ones keep us on our toes. Fun to read poem. Linda

I like that neon green look & along with the text...And Sawyer's monster costume & Oh, what an expression shown on his face..the photo itself deserving of a six, to highlight a delightful, somewhat humorous, rhyming tale, to get me in a mood for all my trick or treaters...Thanks for sharing, Brooke...I enjoyed your poem, very much.

Hi. Ah, great little guy.
Monsters Inc had it best...laughter over screams. I think Buzz will be a good costume for him.
Sounds like we are gonna get a lot of new poems over Halloween:-)

I like your monster just the way he is, lovable and cute! Cute poem with good monster and contrast imagery, and excellent rhyming. A fun read and a cute picture. Faye

Hi Brooke - How could I not give a 6 for this poem and the wonderful picture of Sawyer. Five really clever and totally enjoyable stanzas. Full of good alliteration. I can't pick a favourite stanza or line - the whole is an absolute treat. Warm regards x

Super -- brilliant! I loved the delightful colour scheme and the fun story-rhyme. I am sure Sawyer will enjoy this one being read back to him. Way to go!

Look at Sawyer hamming it up for the camera! The most photographed boy in the orld is bound to end up in sho business of some kind!

Cute poem about the non-scary monster. You're right the Hallwoeen Critters' Union would want himbanned for breach of the rules.

Thanks so much, Steve - actually, he is going through a phase where he does not like to be photographed, so Miranda has to catch him when he is hamming it up for fun. :-) Brooke
