I have actually watched bees enjoy these thistles and wondered how they didn't get pierced. I think I fear the thorns more than the bee.

Thanks for the great review, and the lightheartedness that's how it was meant.

I love the imagery and the artwork. I love the way in which you contrast and compare the bee and the thorns. The bee
will sting while the thorns will prick.
On the other hand, honey from the bee carries sweetness, while the thorn is useless. Excellent work!

I've been stuck by both, and I don't care to get stuck by either one of them ever again, Mystery Poet Double trouble is right, especially if you're in a field of wild flowers full of these thorny plants. They seem to attract bees like bears to honey!
Well done, and good luck in the contest. :)

I originally had roses in mind because of the double of beauty and danger, but couldn't find artwork to suit, great review, thank you.

But if by chance you dare to try
And somehow manage to get by
Those buzzing bees and tiny thorns
Your life will never be one of scorn
The risks are great, the pain is real
The rewards will help you deal
With all the trouble, even double
Well done, Buck

Hi,
Yikes! Perfect artwork because the thorn looks like it could leap out stick to you, with the bee to follow.
Really good 5.7.5 presentation.
Best of luck in the contest.
Cheers & Blessings
Keep Smilin'.... Jax

Will I eliminate one by raising thornless blackberries and other. Won't stop the bees, just wish we had some. Shortege here. Very well done. Hope you win the contest.
