Hi. Great entry for this contest. I like the fact that it is about spirituality not religion...for me these are two different things. Well done.padumachitta

Your poem touching the subtle distinction of spirituality as an enjoyable journey seeking answer to the baffling question 'Who am I' in relation to the vast cosmos is well written. In spirituality, self-realization is the ultimate goal. Thanks for sharing your spiritual thoughts and best of luck for the Contest.

Spirituality is the power we communicate
With a relationship to the cosmic world
Allowing time to contemplate and ruminate
Experiencing the joy and beauty that's unfurled
Beautiful...without our spirit we'd be nothing
Well done
God bless

Thanks for your encouraging review.
Comment from Dean Kuch
I agree, Mystery Poet. We are the masters of our own destiny. It is the choices we make in life, both good as well as bad, that dertermine the paths we take. Spirituality is not necessarily tethered to religion, although many would beg to differ with me on that point, I'd imagine.
A wonderfully written, and eloquently presented piece, perfect for this particular contest.
I wish you the best of luck with it.

This meets the contest requirements beautifully. You express a harmonious approach to spirituality emphasizing the connectedness of all nature rather than the separateness. I wish you all the best in the voting and thank you so much for sharing this with me.

I enjoyed your fine work, it evokes feelings of mystery and mystique, it is written in beautifully expressed language, a nice abab rhyming that helps in the evenness of the narrative, fine entry in this contest, good luck, blessings, Roy.

Certainly, the time of prayer is an experience of spiritual serenity. You have made good use of imagery and rhyming to express your spiritual thoughts. In the last verse, hope you don't mind my suggestion, you could say, beauty that's unfurled (rhymes better with world). Good luck in the contest. Faye

I really enjoyed your philosophical and positive poem.
I wish I was able to concentrate and find this blissful dimension, though I do think a lot, so I suppose that's better than nothing. :-)
Cheers, Ray

Thanks Ray for the review. To be mindful means thinking clear about our experiences. The biggest enemy is distraction, the problem is thinking without knowing we are thinking.

Beautiful artwork that complements your spiritual poem very well. In the three quatrains you write what spirituality is. Rhyming and with good flow.
