This was most enjoyable and ended with something to look forward to in the next post. I think I will enjoy this celebration, always interesting to learn something in the process of reading a story, Giddy

I love all the details about the Lipan Apache culture you provide us in this great chapter, Barbara. The reservation just north of my house is more like a village than the stereotypical version most white people expect, much like you relate in your story. Of course, the casino money has helped spruce things up quite a bit :)
Warm regards, Bev

Now I need to know what is it she will be getting ready. I bet I am in for a good romance heading in the direction of poor old Jom and Sonia. Well done as always.

Yeah for sure... Had ISP Tech over today. I now have to keep to just Chrome Browser he seems to think switching from Chrome to IE is causing my Internet problems. Now I have to find a media player that works on Chrome I did a search and a "V" media player I found is warned off by Norton Sigh! Any ideas?

I think they were up to no good, but - add comma
good use of dialogue to impart information about Native Americans and reservations while also expressing emotion and attitude - interesting discussion about food and one'attitude about the procuring and use of it
You make it clear that she suspects him of holding stereotypes and resents that

The chapter remains in the romance fiction genre.
The suspense of the last chapter carries through this chapter,
what are the four mean up to.
The focus is the celebration. The storyline is Soni and Jim are late for the celebration. Grandfather said he would send men but Soni took a hook-up bracket so they can't pull the trailer. Soni prepares for the ceremony.
The dialogue is clear and tell what is and has been happening as well as The American Native meal. The narrative shows the action.
Keep on writing.

I adored this chapter, Barbara. Not only did you carry the action forward with terse, lean dialogue, but you managed to fill the reader in on background information regarding the Indian Reservations. You even included a jab or two about the wigwams and tee-pees. Then you introduced the Indian blessing of the food and followed with food descriptions connected with Indian philosophy of the Earth.
Worthy of a 6!

Excellent chapter. My mother once tried to get me to eat buffalo meat but I refused. I am strange when it comes to eating things I develop an emotional attachment to. Very nice work with this one.

Another great chapter. If anything it did seem a lot shorter. Maybe it was wishful thinking. These two seem to be getting along much better at the moment. Very good dialogue all the way through and such likeable characters. Great story. Look forward to the next one. Genya
