I saw a documentary the weekend about the Redwood forest, and I thought, "That is the perfect place for faeries :) This is another well written poem.

Brooke;
truly an exceptional story within a poem is this fantasy that is written in 9/8 syllabic format all throughout the verses. The rhyming quatrains were written so well in the rhythm flow so smoothly ,all throughout, that it made it so clear, distinct to read this with pleasure.
The uses of different types of rhyming from assonant two consonant rhymes to feminine and light line to intermittent and even regular rhyming that had leonine rhymes all of which were very imaginative on the part of the author that made it very inventive and clearly ingeniously creative. And all of these rhymes are neither forced nor labored and truly helped with the rhythmic flow.
In a world of fantasy and a setting that was very allegorical, symbolic and emblematic this writing truly had from metaphor to similarly to enhance the writing so well.
The imagery was truly fantastically impressive and very distinctively descriptive and exquisitely expressive throughout and such is this: "She commanded the sprite she summoned, "take a handful of very dust", and they did as their queen had ordered, for their monarch was wise and just." I enjoyed this passage because it involves trust and security obedience on the part of her subjects.
Thank you so much for sharing and posting this for everyone to read, this enjoyable piece of work, and may the good Lord be with you always Brooke.

Hi. Ah, I so wish we could just find some wood fairies and dust and clean our world. We need magic.
Such a warm and uplifting poem of hope.

How I wish fairies really exist? That like guardian angels, one fairy is assigned to us. That it takes only magic dust to erase our mistakes, invigorate our lives and make the world a beautiful and safe place to live in. Nice story, Brooke. c", Mae

Brooke, I just loved this poem. It's like a bedtime story. I was actually worried for a while but the Fairies made things right again. Wish they could do that for our world. Well written. Judy

I'm sure your daughter loved this one from beginning to end and probably read it three or four times..
Is it me being tired or did the meter call for this one to be read at a slower pace than normal??
Well done, Buck

Thanks so much, Buck - I only wrote it this morning, and she has been out having a fun weekend all day, so she has yet to read it :-) This has lots of 3 beat anapestic meter rather than my more frequent two beat iambic meter. Brooke

This is an absolutely outstanding poem, Brooke, and I'm so pleased to award it a sixth star. I loved the story how the fairy dust restored the light and rid fear in the forest. We sure could use some fairy dust in this world,of ours. Fantastic poem in every aspect.
