Ah yes, to be able to cut the threads that bind us to clock.

Lovely poem. And, I love the artwork that you have chosen.

I think that in joy, we are able to break free of time and live in the true glory of the moment.

Here's wishing that you hang out there.

Hugs, d

This is just a great write. I love reading this out loud and not even thinking about the words. The sound of this alone gets your message across. Wonderful use of language here. The perfect words that hit the ears the same way the words hit the mind. A great poem. mikey

this is an excellent write, tfawcus, you did an excellent job writing this poem about the way we are all guided by a clock, be it external or internal. I enjoyed reading it.

The steady rhythm of the tic-toc clock can at times be over-bearing never stopping, always ticking as if it had a say in life. More than the maddening silence of the spirits of fashion in the night.

Oh, how truely accurate is your summation of those relentless ticking clocks that seem to attach a beat to our ageing process. Love it, Giddy

yes I can relate to this maddening relationship with time.
I especially like:
"to cut the thread
that binds us
to the metronomic madness
of the clock."
well done

Your words are so true. We live and die by the clock. I wonder how people survived before the clock was invented. Thanks for reminding us all that we just need to slow down. Bill

Hi Tony wonderfully written poem my friend, time as we all know is a precious thing, we all use it differently, we are continuously looking at the clock, haven't heard os seen a cuckoo clock in years, there you go, that time thing again. Great poem my friend.

Hi, Tony,

If we could just put "Time In A Bottle', just like the old Jim Croce song says, 'the first thing I would do.'

Time waits on no one. Great poem. Great artwork, makes for a super presentation.

Cheers & Blessings

We are owned by the clock, by time. I wonder if mainly we poets dwell on the tormenting thought of it. Or perhaps others dwell and simply do not find it so descriptively tormenting? Whatever the case may be, I am impressed by another of your poems. Time strikes me as maddening, always, and it is quite a thing to know that others do feel similar. And allow it to be so useful, through words.
