Ha, ha, what a perfect muse Sawyer is. This was so much fun amd I can really see Sawyer saying this. makes fora perfect Halloween poem that's filled with all things that go bump in the night. Good stuff there, Brooke.

With as many poems as has been inspired in you by Sawyer, I have no doubt that this 'Jack' indeed would have your back. I can't get enough of the holiday poetry, keep 'em coming :)

The Cute Little One is growing up so quickly, but one constant remains. He is just getting cuter :) This is well written.

How cute! Both picture and poem. I never thought about it, but those carved faces in pumpkins can look scary especially with a candle inside lighting them up. A fine list of foul fiends that Jack can scare away: bats, vampires, ghosts, ghouls, witches and werewolves. A poem rich with imagery to assure little ones that Jack is a protector.

Adorable! It's a wonderful feeling to know someone has your back. All the elements of a scary Halloween are present in this poem. Great fun to read as always!

Sounds like a good friend to have! Especially
this time of year with all the creepy things
you describe, hanging about.
Great images throughout the poem, terrific
rhyme and meter.
Love the pictures of Sawyer! nancy

Dear Brooke,

I like the colors of your poem. Oh that Jack is quite a fellow for he is my body guard and to think I carved him all by myself.

Warm regards,

Winslow

What a delightful photo, you can see how much he has grown into his own little man! And a very clever poem, about his friend Jack!
