Hi Brooke
Aw, this is such a cute children's poem, relevant to this Halloween time of year.
A gentle spooky poem that would be wonderful if used to help children count.
Kind regards
tracey :)

Hi Brooke, good flowing poem here with good imagery and effective alliterations. Each couplet leads to another that is just as colorful. nice art. The rhyming words are perfect for a scary tone.

What a delightful view of the tenuous life of spiders. Giving them characteristics of us humans actually stirred pity for their plights - for a second or two. I am allergic to spider venom. This is a perfect poem for the Halloween season and as usual, is flawlessly presented. Blessings, Linda

This is a very clever varriation on the Ten Little Indians tale. I swear I am just about beyond being shocked or surprised by your cleverness. You really know how to tell and spin stories in such a way that provide a unique and unexpected experience each time out. I am just amazed, constantly. Great job.

You killed off all but one of the spindly spiders... Waaa! It's so much fun saying that aloud... spindly spider, spindly spider! (Just as long as I don't see one creeping up behind me...)
Lots of fun, Brooke!

Great poem, Brooke. I enjoyed this. It reminded me Ten Little Indians. I don't remember clicking on your name and being disappointed. Well done.

Excellent, These types of children's counting poems are always a big hit. The fact that you made this one 'Halloweeny'
makes it even better, I like all the ways you thought of to kill them off one at a time. Great job!

One spider left to end this tale
but have no fear, for all is well
Fifty new spiders are on the way
why, they'll be here, most any day
Weaving their webs of dire despair
Preparing for a Halloween scare
Well done, Buck

Yeah, I agree, this is not for small children. It gave me the creeps! Good poem, well written with good rhythm. Nice picture for it, too. Miss Sally

Very cute...well done, of course...you spun a poetic web and no doubt entrapped many a happy reader. The absence of Sawyer is hoped to be temporary...:) Dennis
