Brooke, what a sweet love poem for Sawyer. Yes,
children do love those pockets. Someday there
may be a frog in that pocket or worms. I like the
giggles and laughter part... that's what the
grandchildren bring us.

When my son was a child, he badly wanted to grow up. I told him not to hurry, to enjoy his childhood because he would be a child just once. Nice job. Good luck in the contest.

Loved this playful poem! Loved the rhymes and alliteration. This was fun to read aloud and was typically boy-oriented!! I have 2 boys myself and recognized them in the imagery you created with this poem! Boys, pockets and messy food choices... oh yum!! Loved the message of love in this poem. Great writing and of course, amazing photos to complete this piece of art! Thanks for sharing this with me. Best wishes in the contest.

Oh, what a sweet poem, and such a clever way to show your love for your grands.
OMG, they are so cute. How many have you been blessed with?

Blimey, what a combination LOL
I enjoyed reading your love poem, an interesting take on the prompt.
I think that this part should win on its own...
Giggles and laughter,
as much as you please,
as many in number
as waves in the seas.
Original and quite uncomplicated and yet it says so very much.
I wish you well in the competition.
kind regards
tracey

Thank you so much, Tracey - so glad you enjoyed. Sawyer has very strange taste in food, which does NOT come from Grandma. LOL :-) Brooke

Brooke, this is so touching and beautiful. Sawyer is so lucky to have such a loving grandparent.
The fact that the little things that make him so unique have been so
lovingly noted is so special.
A perfect love poem and one Sawyer can keep for a lifetime.
Clever, thoughtful and so thoughtfully written with love.
A virtual six 'cos because once again I'm all out of the real ones.
:-) Shirley.

The reading aloud of this poem tells a story itself. This writer knows her craft, her subject matter, and her way around a beautiful poem.

Really cute and well done. It reminded me of how I used to dip my pickles in BBQ sauce at one of my favorite restaurants. The waiters always thought I was a little weird when I asked for extra pickles to dip in the sauce and I was an adult. Hope you do great in the contest. Rox

a love poem for Sawyer 'Pickles and Ketchup.' I can just imagine wearing a pair of short pants without those pockets. Boys will be boys. Well done.
