Hi Brooke
What on earth is in that bowl? I'm trying to decide. Looks like cut-up cucumber, but I'm not sure what the reddish stuff is. Looks like he's having a grand time with it though.
My wife went with my daughter this morning. They're off to Alyssa's first visit to the Aquatic Centre. She loves the water.
I enjoyed your poem very much. You mix the love of food and the love of a grandparent. (I know all about that!)
I love this verse,
"Pickles and ketchup,
ice cream and goo --
perfect companions
like I'm made for you." ...our Alyssa loves ice cream, but Laura says only vanilla for now. I'm a huge pickle fan. My very favourite is Lady Ashburn pickles. I'll slather them on almost anything!
Wonderful, sweet poem, Brooke.
Thanks for sharing!
hugs
Kimbob

Is Maureen still in a coma?
reply by the author on 07-Oct-2014
Yes, Kay, the latest update says she is in a coma and everyone who enters her room has to wear surgical gown and mask because of her pneumonia and compromised immune system. She is on very shaky ground.

May the Lord take her into His loving care. Can't talk now, thinking of you. Love, K.

Oh, this is simply adorable and I was immediately drawn in by the title. Perfect flow, it reads quickly and smoothly so that it gallops along. Full of character and absolutely charming!

Kindest of regards,

Julie :-)

This poem is adorable! It's a custom-made nursery rhyme for Sawyer! It's like a story that narrates all the little things that make Sawyer's life complete.

Such a lovely poem that made me giggle. As always, your rhyme and rhythm are perfect. Children do have such wonderful imaginations. I can't wait for my grand kids to come.

Very imaginative poem.

Where indeed, Brooke? :)

Pickles, ice cream and ketchup sound like the cravings of a pregnant lady in her first trimester!

A lovely way to end my day.

Hurrah for Sawyer and Grandma ...

Cute poem. Reminds me of a mothers love for her child. Probably due to the picture and the incorporation of food and laughter. Nice.
