Not sure about the pickles and ketchup, but I'll try it once. Great take on the contest, there are so many things in life to love, when you think about it.

Brooke, this really brought a smile to my face. What great joy they bring us! I just spent six days with my grandson and can so relate to these lines.
Your love poem is absolutely lovely and it has a sprightly rhythm to it.
I love the simile in the second stanza and your parings are so clever.
Really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing.

Awwwwww... this is a precious love poem. It incorporates the favorite things of a loveable little boy and compares them so neatly to the perfect combination of grandmother and grandson. I loved this one, and the accompanying pictures as well. Priceless!

A delightfully whimsical entry to the Love Poem contest. Definite shades of "These are a few of my favourite things" both in rhythm and in content!

You lost me at pickles and ketchup, Brooke. LOL! Okay, the ketchup I can take ... but the pickles.
What a sweet (and tangy?) take on the prompt. I love it - it's a little different to the usual, which makes it special, I think.
I love how kids develop likes and dislikes as they grow - those things that can make you cringe or make you laugh.
Thanks for the smile. Sawyer certainly looks like he's thoroughly enjoying his perfect dinner!

Hey, I always special order the burger without pickles. It's Sawyer's mother who is the pickle eater - he got it all from her!! LOL Thanks so much for the laugh and for your generous sixth star, Av :-) Brooke

This is so cute! Love the poem and the pic. But pickles and ketchup? Maybe on a burger. LOL Wonderful work, and great idea for the Love Poem contest. :)

This is so precious. I can relate to pants without pockets...for some reason in Mexico, it is almost impossible to find women's pants with pockets. I have asked, but no one seems to know. I really got a kick out of this one. Great entry for this contest and I sincerely wish you all the best.

What an interesting poem, had great flow and it's fun to read. Pickles and ketchup, ice cream and goo, not so much fun to eat, but it certainly works in this poem. Good work.

Brooke, I must say I do agree with Sawyer! Pocketless pants should be abolished! What a laugh this poem and the pictures gave me. Pickles and ketchup do not sound appealing to me, but boys will be boys!
What a perfect entry for the Love Poem contest!
Thanks for sharing it!
Blessings and hugs,
Marsha
