What a fascinating picture . Little children draw what is important to them. His tears are prominent...and the grown up feet..and his hands. I remember knees as one of my first memories and a skirt and feet.this is a fascinating picture. I love the poem too but especially that you have a little creative artist in Sawyer
God bless

Ah, poor little Cute One. It is so sad when they get hurt, but you can't protect them to such an extent that you don't allow them to live. This is very well written.

This poem made the sense of hearing and sight ignite with the sounds and images of the horror of Halloween. Well done, Brooke, in capturing that dark and sinister event so well.

Funny how the drawing is in red. Remember the movie 'sixth sence', anything of importance was in red too. Meanwhile, thanks for the Halloween poem entry :)

Awesome alliteration
The finest fixings
Deafening declaration
Of mayhems mixings
Another well written one in the books
Of Halloween's different looks
Well done as always, Buck

Yes, this is the one. Six stars for your creativity and clear expression of thought! This piece is deceptively childlike because to compose it, the writer requires artistry forged in the furnace of training and experience. I think you did a marvelous job.

Ah, Sawyer went bump in the night!
I always look forward to your October aberrations, Brooke.
Kids will love the alliteration and the familiarity
of the Halloween cast. This could be an annual family read. Much like 'Twas the night...' is read at Christmas.
Peace, Lee

It's that time of year again!
Nice abcb rhymes throughout.
Great use of alliteration and assonance and lots of scary imagery in this Halloween poem.

Rapid-fire lines full of attractive alliteration scatter/screams, dashing dreams etc.
A plethora of halloween images too, too many to mention.

LOL at Nora's drawing of Sawyer's 'terrible' accident, Brooke. :-)
I guess this is about Halloween, and NOT Sawyer's over-dramatic reaction. LOL
Very dramatic and punchy lines in trochaic meter.
Excellent and fun alliteration throughout.
Thanks for the smiles, Ray xx

Ray, thanks so much :-) Nora and Sawyer were horsing around on her bed. The incident was over in one minute, but I just love those tears streaming down his cheeks in her artistic rendition that will memorialize the "tragedy" forever :-) Brooke
