And so once again it is that time
when witches and goblins and
all sorts of ghouls are on the
loose, and so to really appreciate
this special day, where would one
turn to, but the talented artist who
writes with a flair on subjects that
others would not dare.
And so my bit of rhyme, certainly not
anywhere as talented as yours.
Well done

Oh, he hit his head. Grandmother always said, never let a child nap or go to sleep right after hitting their head. Don't know if that's an old wives' tale. Anyway, hope Sawyer is okay. Wonderful poem with sad lyrics and good rhymes to match. Can't wait to see what Sawyer is going to be on Halloween. Smile.

amahra, thank you so much :-) He's fine -he screamed long enough to make Nora feel guilty, and then he went back to fooling around with her. LOL :-) Brooke

That's a dramatic six star poster; the wee bi-meter verse is a technical masterpiece. Alliteration plus, plus rhyme, and some dramatics of its own. Kenny

I haven't been much in the Halloween mood yet but I think this scary poem has done the trick. This is so clever and so neatly put together... I don't think you left any scary feature out. I enjoyed it three times... Now I'm in the mood to write a Halloween poem. Thank you!

You've definitely caught the spirit of Halloween. Nice continuous use of 'ing' words, makes it very much in the present. Of course, the rhyming is as smooth as ever. One of your great strengths. Wonderfully crafted. Les

I see we have an artist in the make/ LOL
I'm not a big fan of Halloween poems
yet this one, I most say was nice.
You had my attention from the start.
It's nice when I don't have to lose my heart! LOL

Oh, this certainly brings halloween to
mind - a clever use of words, my friend,
with great rhythm and rhyme.
Not a night we make a big thing of over here,
altho I do know they do in the States.
Love the new picture of Sawyer - bless him.

Hi Brooke this is a wonderful, wonderfully expressed Halloween poem, it is a veritable cornucopia of alliteration and excellent rhyming, beautiful flow finishes it nicely.
