For all the fun and frolic here
there's a warning tolled, that is quite clear -
when it's time to procreate
be wary of your Type-A trait.
Just like a microwaved bratwurst
an overstuffed young mind might burst
and shower all your kith and kin
with sediment you've jam-packed in!
Very funny poem :-)

Love the poetic response, esp. the microwaved bratwurst!

I just love your closing lines on these pieces. You quite humorously express the lengths some folks go to in order for their child to be the best. Sadly, though they all mean well their kids end up in a living hell. Nicely done and I thank you so much for sharing this with me.

kiwisteveh, what a tour de force!. This is exceptional and certainly worthy of all the stars it can garner. I enjoyed this wonderful and witty tale. Yes, sometimes, we have great ambitions for our children and live vicariously through them. WELL DONE.. JLSAVELL

Hi Steve, this is a brilliantly funny ditty my friend, I must have missed this the first time round, the stanzas look simply written, but I'll bet you struggled in a few places, this is my type of humor my friend and it cheered me up!

What a fun thing to read! I bet you had fun writing it, too. It just told a very cool story in poem form and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Your couplets were quite entertaining!

Absolute nonsense that every new or expectant parent should read. Got lots of chuckles from this one. May not be the best of your work but I enjoyed and that is the measure of good writing...did the reader enjoy.
Great way to start my day...thanks

LOLOL - Some people never learn ...or perhaps they do (after a fashion). I laughed out loud as I recognised so many young mums on their quest to produce their own personal genius. :-)

My God kiwi, where did all that come from?
It certainly kept me going from start to
certain finish. Such a clever child, who,
with Mother's help showed us how children
are able to take in all those well intended
lessons of modernity. Ooops too late, too
much too soon. Well dare I say it; I take
it all back. Ooops too late. Great entertaining
poetry. Eric

Where did it come from? Inside a rather dark and perverted brain I suspect. Better not to go poking around in there.
Thanks for reviewing.
