I just love your closing lines on these pieces. You quite humorously express the lengths some folks go to in order for their child to be the best. Sadly, though they all mean well their kids end up in a living hell. Nicely done and I thank you so much for sharing this with me.

Hi Steve, this is a brilliantly funny ditty my friend, I must have missed this the first time round, the stanzas look simply written, but I'll bet you struggled in a few places, this is my type of humor my friend and it cheered me up!

Absolute nonsense that every new or expectant parent should read. Got lots of chuckles from this one. May not be the best of your work but I enjoyed and that is the measure of good writing...did the reader enjoy.

LOLOL - Some people never learn ...or perhaps they do (after a fashion). I laughed out loud as I recognised so many young mums on their quest to produce their own personal genius. :-)

My God kiwi, where did all that come from?
It certainly kept me going from start to
certain finish. Such a clever child, who,
with Mother's help showed us how children
are able to take in all those well intended
lessons of modernity. Ooops too late, too
much too soon. Well dare I say it; I take
it all back. Ooops too late. Great entertaining

Oh my! There are plenty of these over zealous parents. You've written the monster well. It's a fine parody. Most enjoyable rhyme and meter with interesting alliteration and good use of enjambment.
